Please hold…

I am currently in the mode of trying to put up another page. As you all most likely know and are expecting, most animation studio websites have some sort of work on their sites, as in character pictures and descriptions. And I do not. Well, okay, I have pictures and I have descriptions, but I have yet to put them on this blog. This is a problem for me. It may not be a problem for you, but for me it is. How are you supposed to understand what we’re all about if there’s no proof of characters?

So please hold… be patient… they are coming… eventually.

In the meantime, I am currently in the process of writing our business plan. This has been a challenging yet educational and informational process for me. Writing this plan has given me the opportunity to organize all the thoughts and facts I have in my head and the opportunity to put them on paper.

Pixar Forum

As a general rule, I am all about traditional 2D animation. But there’s no point saying that that I don’t enjoy 3D to some extent, because I absolutely adore Pixar. I recently joined a Pixar forum called Pixar Planet. The forum is an awesome way to connect with other Pixar fans and find relevant news pertaining to the company. Pixar Planet also provides updates regarding the latest trends in the world of animation. If you are a devoted Pixar/Disney fanatic or love animation, I would highly recommend you check out and join this forum. It’s relatively easy.

10 Sec. Intro

I thought I would post Flashback’s ten second intro. video.  For whatever reason, I am unable to upload directly to this blog from my computer and I am apparently not familiar with embedded videos on WordPress.

So here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhsL8jbJwNc

Welcome to Our Blog!

I am excited to announce that Flashback Animation Studios now has a blog! For those of you who don’t know who or what Flashback Animation consists of, it’s just this.

#1: Parents: Do you remember watching good cartoons when you were younger, cartoons made by big studios such as Warner Brothers and Disney? Disney captured the very essence of friendship, honesty, and various other values and virtues. Warner Brothers was known for its short toons, driven forward by compelling music and humorous moments. Flashback wants to bring these things back. Flashback wants to give your children something entertaining, yet wholesome. We’re not bringing back your favorite cartoons. We’re working on a series of short cartoons which capture what made your favorites so great, what you know your children will love, and what will make them better people.

#2: Have you ever noticed that pretty much every single Disney classic is told in the setting of a broken home.  I can definitely name a few.

Bambi, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Pinocchio (okay, so maybe this one doesn’t count so much)

So maybe Disney has been trying to cater to all those children from broken homes. I guess we need someone to do that job. But what about the kids in traditional family settings. What about them? Shouldn’t they be catered to? Or even all the children in broken homes? Shouldn’t a healthy example be set for them? Flashback is stepping up to this plate. All stories will be set in these traditional family settings.

That’s a basic overview of what we’re all about. I can’t say that we have any cartoons available yet, but this blog is here to keep you updated throughout our journey as a company. (And someday, when we’re famous, you can all say that you followed us closely as we first started out.)
